Work Summary
Hi Stranger,
🚀2024–Now: Product Designer at a Sports Community Startup
🇨🇳 Shanghai, China
At a sports community startup, I joined as the solo product designer, working closely with the PM, developers, and founder to shape the product from the ground up. My responsibilities covered a wide range of features, including UGC social feeds, image editing, workout data visualization, and gamified comparisons.
The biggest challenge here is that we followed a Lean UX approach. Features were added incrementally based on evolving needs rather than planned upfront. Therefore, I had to ensure each new feature integrated seamlessly with the existing features.
One standout initiative was optimizing the Event Recap feature. I discovered that although it existed, usage was extremely low and it failed to foster community engagement. Through mapping user journeys and auditing existing tools, I realized users lacked clear entry points and motivation to share. I redesigned the flow by integrating recaps into our newly built social feed, allowing community hosts to post highlights as part of regular content. This not only aligned with expected user behavior but also activated a dormant feature with minimal engineering cost.

🛍️ 2022-2024: UX/UI Designer at a D2C Health Brand
🇬🇧 London, UK
At this D2C wellness company, I worked across both B2C and B2B touchpoints. One of my core projects was building an Auto-Renewal flow from scratch—turning a manual subscription process into a streamlined, automated one. With limited direct access to users, I collaborated extensively with business analysts and customer service to understand pain points and ensure a seamless backend-to-UI experience.
Final Outcome:

Another major project involved a Dashboard Redesign for merchants. I led user interviews and usability studies to identify gaps in information architecture and usability. The redesigned layout re-prioritized modules, leading to more intuitive daily use and fewer drop-offs.
